New York City

Many times after travelling somewhere, I often look over my images and discover a certain theme or narrative that I subconsciously became curious about pursuing. Certain things appeal to you more than something else in different places, based on the weather, how the light is falling one day to the next, what part of the world and the means you travel by.

In NYC, it was the buildings. Often walking, I would look up and be mesmerised by the skyscrapers that filled my view, the colour and architectural contrasts, the different shapes and sizes. But how, even amidst such vastly different styles, dating back many decades, there was still such strong overall congruity.
